Description
About Tulsi: Ocimum tenuiflorum or tulsi as it is commonly called has occupied a very important place in Indian customs from time immemorial. Tulsi or tulasi in Sanskrit means “incomparable”. It is not without reason that our ancestors have consecrated this particular herb by calling it the ‘holy basil’. Though not commonly used in cooking, the leaves of the herb are given as a part of Ayurvedic and Siddha medicine to cure common ailments like cough, cold, etc.
